In a comprehensive report, the company Match Group (Match.com, Tinder, Hinge, Plenty of Fish, and OkCupid) has come out with some amazing statistics.
In the Pandemic 71% of single people have reported that they went entirely without sex during lockdown. Of those that did report having sex, 25% reported having sex with a non-romantic partner.
That’s mostly roommates.
So, in lockdown, single people in the same house decided to support each other with sexual relief. It makes very practical sense. 13% of singles were invited to have sex with someone they were not locked down with but they declined.
Another interesting fact is the inclusion of masks now in the dating scene. The younger the daters, the more inclined to include mask-wearing.
We thought this was interesting because older daters are supposedly more vulnerable. But then, perhaps they are the least flexible?
