We’ve been looking at so many wonderful benefits of reading here at AJAX Books this week.
Now there is some evidence in a paper by Shinya Uchida and Ryuta Kawashima That has found some correlation between the active brain and healthy aging. This paper argues that there is a cognitive benefit to reading that assists older people with brain deterioration.
The same article in Power of Positivity magazine argues that reading before bedtime can help you sleep. Of course, one needs to choose to read something relaxing, but for the most part, there is a correlation between excellent sleep and reading before bedtime.
