The San Francisco sex information website is part of the San Francisco Sex Information not for profit that was founded in 1972 by a group of nurses. Its purpose is to provide free, confidential, accurate non-judgmental information about sex. Today, they provide sex educator training classes.
According to the website in 2019 the switchboard functionality of SFSI was spun off into a new non-profit organization. The SGR Hotline provides confidential, accurate non-judgmental information about sexuality, gender, and relationships.
This is the kind of service every city should provide for its citizens. There should be no interference with the distribution of this kind of information, but if there is, private spaces where people can go become essential.
